On behalf of the Russian Union of Industrialists and Entrepreneurs, I am glad to welcome the organisers, participants and guests of the 6th International Exhibition and Conference of Smart Cards and IT Security Systems “Cardex & IT Security 2009”.
Plastic cards become an integral part of our life. The scope of application of plastic cards expands every day. They become more and more important business development tools. They are used for placing money and charging off money as payments are made. This is convenient, profitable and safe. The number of card holders grows, but, at the same time, the number of fraudulent transactions associated with bank cards increases, too. As it turns out, it is not that difficult to get unlawful access to personal financial information.
At present, information security and protection of personal data are extremely important requiring modern approaches to developing security systems and solutions.
Cardex & IT Security 2009 will demonstrate the newest solutions in the field of information safety management. Experts and analysts of plastic card industry will discuss development strategy of Russian plastic card market, role of international and national payment systems in Russia, card technologies, multi-functional cards and EMV-migration, joint card projects of banks, mobile operators and insurance companies and other topical issues of the industry.
